Rick operates a fantastic service center and he has always gone out of his way to go the extra mile to help. When I moved here from Florida in 2011, he made me feel like I had found a new home. Everyone I have had contact with in this service department has been professional and courteous. Last week his service assistant Frank, was able to finish my car in one day. I believe it was the next day that we experienced a major earth Quake on top of the stress we were already under from the Corona Virus. Frank also contacted Fusion Glass Repair worked with Geico to repair my windshield. He was amazing! Thanks to all of you!

Been using this service department for 12 years now and some of the personal has changed but the quality of work and dedication of the advisors and mechanics is a constant that I can depend on. This time I worked with Rick and Frank, and as usual, I was well taken care of. This was not a planned visit and so was quite stressful, but working with these two gave me confidence that the car would be running right when I got it back. Difficult situation,handled well

We have had Ken Garff Honda perform multiple services on our vehicles over the past couple of years. During the last two years, we've had one vehicle in particular that has had a series of complicated issues. The service department has worked hard to address the problems and work with us to keep the cost as low as possible. The most recent issue was very complicated, expensive, and likely related to past issues. The service advisor, mechanic, and service supervisor handled the situation in a way that exemplifies good customer services. Thank you for "doing the right thing" in a way that you didn't have to, but was much appreciated.

Some people need better training.

I have had the same rep twice in a row now and he is very under-trained. He has no idea heo to answer my questions about my car. Findings thr tech noted and regular maintenance. I had to call Rick (the service manager) the first time I was helped by this gentlemen and I vowed to never have him help me again. But alas, he ended up helping me when the line was long to visit with a different rep. I'm considering going to a different dealership.

Good service for recalls.

They scheduled and did my cars recall in a very professional and well manner. They are very busy repairs can run longer. Asked for a inspection of the car and specifically about a gas smell after turning the car off. They did the inspection but didn’t even address the problem I asked specifically about and since they were so late in getting my car back I didn’t have time to ask what it might be. Thus I will be going to a local mechanic to address that.

Would NOT recommend!!!

We had a very poor experience here! Our transmission went out on our Honda Odyssey with only 75,000 miles on it. We had completed all oil changes and service at Jiffy Lube, which Honda warranty supposedly covers. Well our paperwork from Jiffy Lube (7 visits over 2 years, the last visit being only 2 months prior) showed that transmission fluid was checked and clean and full. The service guy at Honda didn’t even contact Honda to try and get it covered he just told us they would not honor warranty. So they quoted us $7,000 to $8,000 to fix! I have always taken extremely good care of my van and I truly believe this was a bad transmission and I am very upset that this dealership did so little to help us. We bought a different make vehicle and will never return.

Not good!

I specifically told them not to take the door panel apart and not to touch the door. Then they called me back later and said he took the door apart and were charging me for this. It needed a newbattery. This is the place they should’ve began. You do not go against the car owners owners wishes, In removing car parts to service them when I specifically told them not to.. The battery was the problem. So Basically a replaced battery cost me $280!

Job done poorly

Replaced right front wheel bearing. Bent the backing plate behind the rotor, and did not perform an alignment per the job guide. I had to bring the car back in to get those items fixed. It was an expensive repair that was overall done with poor quality and they had the vehicle for 1 day longer than necessary, so they had plenty of time to do the job properly the first time. When we had to bring the vehicle back in, and we had to request a courtesy vehicle, which at first they did not want to provide.

It’s was good but had me questioning

My main concern is how they measure the brake pads. 10 months ago when my car was service, my pads were at a 9 but this time my brake pads were at a 10. So I’m confused on how my pads grew after 10 months of using them. It makes me questions the other inspections they said they have done.

I’ve been coming to Ken Garff Honda Riverdale for about 6 years now. I have never had a problem with any of the staff or with the service I have received. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that Suda went somewhere else. If there’s anything you guys can do to get him back please make it happen! I worked with Frank this time around and he was very helpful even with some of my more in depth questions. Thank you! Also in the sales department, I always work with Mario. I’m sure he’s getting a little frustrated with me because I’ve had the same car for about 5 years now. But if and when I finally decided to let my Accord go, I’ll be going with him. He’s always extremely helpful and fast. I appreciate that I don’t feel like I’m in a high pressure sales situation working with him. Oil change and tire rotation

I went to get my civic’s oil changed and tires rotated. When I first was helped the guy at the desk seemed like I was bothering him by bringing my car in. Bad customer service. It also took them an hour and a half to get everything done. I probably would have waited there longer but after that much time I finally asked how long it was going to take and my car was magically done. Who knows how long I sat there while my car was finished.

Unable to solve problem

The Android Auto app will not connect from my phone to the car. Service was not able to resolve the issue. I was there for 2.5 hours but needed to leave for a doctor's appointment. They suggested I bring the car in for further inspection early in the day. I spent another hour on my phone today with Verizon but the problem continues. I cannot get a bluetooth icon to appear on my car home screen. Frank was very apologetic and polite. Apparently limited time was a factor.

Poor service

Have taken my new car twice for oil change and tire rotation. Included was a car wash. 1st time there was axle grease around driver door handle and hatch back opener handle. Plus, I trusted them to check tire pressure. But they overinflated them. On this last visit, they noted that tires were overinflated and nearly worn to wear bars on the center of tread. Plus they said the oil change was not due, because the oil life indicator showed 60%. However, the service due sticker they put in the window was past due for service. Seems factory reccomends 10k miles, but sticker was for 5k. Not happy with this sloppy attention to detail.

Left me without any updstes

At first I was highly impressed. I had a number I could message that would message me back, I got a video from the technichian, very good communication. The problem is, the technichian left the company and my car just sat there without any work being done, and without anyone notifying me so the 3 days my car was there, it was literally just sitting there. I wish someone would have reached out. When I reached out to them, I was told the technichian was off that day. Someone called me back HOURS later and were clearly reading from the computer without knowing anything about what was happening with my car. They said they'd have the work done in 1 hour. I got there 1 hour later and still had to wait 40 minutes for them to finish. Then they skipped the car wash to get it to me since they ran out of time. All.of this, despite the fact that they had my care over 3 days!!!!! I will never be back. When I was explaining my frustrations to the last person, all I got was ok here are your keys.

Professional, polite, honest.

I brought my Civic in for regular scheduled maintenance at 31k. Right from the beginning the maintenance team was kind and efficient. When my oil change was almost complete, they let me know I have a minor oil leak but they didn’t have the appropriate technician on the floor to find out where the problem was coming from. The technician told me to bring it back within the next 5k miles because my warranty expires at 36k. This is truly impressed me because they could have kept quiet about the minor leak until my next oil change, and because my vehicle takes full synthetic oil, it would have been well past 36k before my next visit. They could have taken the opportunity to make easy money by waiting until my warranty was up. In today’s world, an honest mechanic can be tough to find. I’m truly grateful. Because of this incident, Honda has won me over. Thank you

Failure to inform

I brought in my pilot to have the check engine light checked as well as a recall repair. Upon pickup the check engine light was not addressed. I had to ask and the technician did not know. I was required to wait to find out and told I will need to bring it in again. A phone call prior to pick up and the problem resolved while my vehicle was in the shop would have made a world of difference. I will now have to spend another day without a car.

I bought my Honda and a warranty so i would not have to worry about major repairs. I had it serviced here and followed all of their recommendations, 24,000 miles later it was making a noise, so i confidently took it in. By the end of the day they took apart my engine that had a comptession of 150, which is good. Warrenty would not cover damage done by previous owner. Long story short, i paid for an unnecessary engine rebuild. Frank the service writter was empathetic but I still had to pay a lot of money. Needless to say I have vey little confidence in getting the help that I need.

Oil change and tire rotation.

I stopped in at Ken Garth in Ogden for an oil change and it received excellent service from Frank one of the employees that works there and he took exceptional care of me. He actually informed me of a maintenance plan that I was interested wand I purchased it. Now I have two more oil changes and tire rotation cheap than I could get at other places. Thanks Frank

I came in for an oil change without an appointment. I was greeted immediately by a very friendly and professional service advisor by the name of Frank. He got my car in quickly and I waited in a very nice area that offered drinks and popcorn. While I waited a chip in my windshield was also repaired. Very pleased.

Long wait for simple repair

I received a minor recall notice and made an appt for 8:30. I was told it was a 45 min job, but allow 4 hours. Needing my car by 1:30 are the latest, I checked in afternot hearing back after the 4 hour estimate. I was told it would be done at 3:00. I said I needed to cancel it and come get my car. Frank said he would move me up on the list and have it ready at 1:30. I got dropped off at 12:30 and thanked Frank for expediting it. I sat in the waiting room for an hour waiting for 1:30 to come or to get called up. At about 1:35 I went to inquire. The guy went and found Frank. He told me it was ready and proceeded to check me out. He grabbed the keys from the key saver box. Why if the keys were there was I not called up before? Also when I went to the car, it had clearly been sitting there for quite a while. I had paid for the oil change and car wash. The wash was ok is all, and the car was already dry. Again, why wa so not called up earlier. I was late for my meeting and spent way too much time there. Frank was very kind and tried, but the process of getting people in and out could be greatly enhanced in my eyes.

I just got my 5th Honda from Ken Garff's in Riverdale. Tyler Briscoe was great to deal with. He has sold me four of them. He really goes out of his way to help, and so many in the office came over to get acquainted. All of my cars have been maintained by the great service department.

Emissions and oil change

Everything was great. I’m not aware of any problems at this time. I was looking through the papers when I got home. There were two items on the checkoff sheet that were checked in yellow. It would have been helpful if the service man had mentioned those to me, explained what those things were and if they were fixed, or need to be fixed. I suppose I’ll be calling Monday morning.

60-100% markup on parts

Went in to have brake pads and rotors replaced. Extremely disappointed to be quoted $420 for labor/parts on the brake pads alone!! Yeah, you know, the same brake pads that I could buy at AutoZone or O’Reilly for less than $150 out the door. Was then quoted $99 per rotor (part only, no labor) and when I cried foul on that, he said “oh, I meant $89.” Still $20 more than the most expensive at local parts store (x4 rotors is a massive swindle job). Thank you, Ken Garff, for convincing me to handle all repairs on my own from now on. I’m all about the free market and charging what you feel is in YOUR best interests (because you obviously don’t have the customers’ interests in mind), but the free market also means the people won’t stand for your abhorrent markups anymore. Time to post this on social media to get the word out about an industry that is sorely lacking the public’s trust to begin with.

The waiting area was clean and not crowded, which was nice. My car wouldn’t start due to a bad battery. I called Ken Garff Honda and they were quick to look up my information to dertermine my car was still under warranty. I dropped off my car and the battery was scheduled to be replaced the next day. They were able to get it done earlier the next morning and let me know it was ready ahead of schedule. Great service!! Service guy even joked I was suppose to be there at 7:00:)) He estimated an hour but it was prob less then 45 min along w a car wash which it needed bad and a hot coffee.
